StudentUniverse Names New Vice President of Sales and Business Development

StudentUniverse, the leading booking site for young travelers, has
named Adam Cooper as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Joining the company at the end of July, Cooper will be reporting directly to Mike Cleary, Global Managing Director of StudentUniverse.

In his new role, Cooper will be leading sales efforts with a focus on the B2B Study Abroad Market and Online Tour Sales. Serving as part of the company’s leadership team, Cooper will help guide the business globally to grow revenue.

Prior to joining StudentUniverse, Cooper served as president of Contiki USA, part of The Travel Corporation (TTC) family of brands. Before that, he served as the Senior Vice President-North America for STA, Travel, Inc., the global full-service travel agency catering to the student and youth markets.

“Adam’s vast experience in the travel industry, combined with his passion for exploration and his understanding of the needs of today’s young traveler will be invaluable to StudentUniverse,” says Cleary. “I’m thrilled to have him on my team and am confident he will make tremendous contributions to the growth of our business.”

Originally from Sheffield, England, Cooper came to the United States 20 years ago on a Camp America program to work with kids in upstate New York. “Working to enable students and youth to experience the world is all I’ve ever done. I’m incredibly grateful that I’ve been able to build a career around it and excited to continue that journey with StudentUniverse,” said Cooper. “I’m happy to be working in a familiar world, and I am looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and colleagues, while elevating StudentUniverse’ capabilities in a multitude of areas.”

Voted “Best Youth Travel Agent” at the Global Youth Travel Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2018, StudentUniverse is part of the Flight Centre Travel Group — one of the world’s largest travel companies.
