The Grand Canyon is one of the world's most amazing natural wonders and if you get even half a chance to check it out you HAVE to do it! It probably won't surprise you that the Grand Canyon National Park is kinda in the middle of nowhere (aka North Arizona) but that's part of the draw. You can reach the area by road from various cities, including Las Vegas, from which the mile-deep ravine is just over a four-hour drive - approximately 275 miles.

It is very safe to travel to Las Vegas right now - certainly just as safe as anywhere else in the United States, and there are no restrictions on travel to Sin City. As with anywhere else in the world, Covid rears its viral head from time to time, but if you take normal precautions you should be just fine. Being located in the desert, Vegas can get a bit toasty in the summer, but all the indoor stuff is fully aircon (including hotels in Vegas) so just stay out of direct sunlight if you can, and wear sunscreen just to be safe.

It might seem from TV and movies like the iconic Vegas Strip is just a few hundred yards long, but it's actually over four miles! The actual road is called Las Vegas Boulevard and the 'Strip' part of it can be found roughly between the Stratosphere Tower and the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign (which Nevada law states you MUST get a selfie in front of, probably).
