Salem, Massachusetts

Home of the infamous 192 Salem witch trials, Salem should be at the top of your list for places to visit for Halloween. All throughout October Salem Haunted Happenings puts on Halloween events including festivals, balls, tours and trick-or-treating.

Don’t forget to visit the Witch House Museum and on the night of Halloween enjoy magic shows, witches balls, fireworks and more.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Although usually thought of for Mardi Gras, New Orleans is often considered on the of the best places in America to celebrate Halloween. Celebrations take place all throughout October and include the Krewe of Boo!’s Monster Mash Costume Party on October 19, the Voodoo, Music & Arts experience on October 25th, haunted tours through the French Quarter or one of the world-famous cemeteries and more. Of course, there’s also one massive celebration on Frenchman Street on the night of Halloween.

Orlando, Florida

Who wouldn’t love celebrating Halloween at a theme park? Orlando theme parks know how to pull all the stops for a spooky, or just plain fun, Halloween adventure.
