With Black Friday & Cyber Monday coming up, you’re probably wondering about what deals you might be able to find on flights for 2022 (and if not, you should be). After all, we’ll have some of our biggest sales of the year on these two days! If you want to be super prepared to get some of our best deals, we’ve got a few tips and tricks to make sure you won’t miss out.
Black Friday Student Travel Deals
Typically, you can save up to 30% off regular airfare with our student and youth discounts. Black Friday and Cyber Monday, though, are even better. You can score major discounts with promo codes that are available for all members to use, even if you’re not a student! This year, we’ll have promo codes up to $50† off for just about every flight on our website. And that’s on top of our regularly discounted airfare! There’s honestly no better time to snag a good deal.
Whether you need a one-way flight home for the holidays, are thinking ahead to next spring break or summer vacay or just want to take a long weekend getaway this winter, we’ve got what you need. Short weekend getaway to Tulum? Check. Epic dream trip to Paris or Costa Rica? We’ve got you covered there too.
We can’t give away too much about our exact deals yet—for that you’ll just have to come back and see. What we can do is give you our best tips about how to find the best Cyber Monday flight deals, that way you’ll be all set to go when the sales launch!
1. Mark your calendars!
This year, Black Friday is on November 26 and Cyber Monday is on November 29. Every year, some of our best deals sell out FAST, so be ready to get up and get the good deals before they’re gone.
2. Sign up for early access.
Our early access list is the best way to make sure you won’t miss out on any deals. We’ll send out the promo codes to everyone who signs up for early access about 8 hours before everyone else, so you can get a head start. Plus, this year, everyone who signs up for early access will be automatically entered to win a $500 promo code!
3. Make sure you’re a member.
These Black Friday & Cyber Monday promo codes are for members only. You don’t have to be a student, but you DO need to have an account. Make sure you’re signed up for a free membership before the big day! (FYI: signing up for emails doesn’t make you a member—you can start your free membership here.) If you’re a student, verify your student status ahead of time if you haven’t already done so. That way you’ll be able to see student-only pricing and deals and can make sure to get the lowest price possible.
4. Start thinking about where you want to go.
If you haven’t already planned 4530953 trips during the pandemic like we have, start thinking now about where you want to go and when! That way, when Cyber Monday rolls around, you’ll know exactly what tickets you’re looking for. With tickets selling out fast the day-of, time is of the essence. Of course, if you have a pretty flexible schedule, you can always wait for the day of and keep an eye on our Instagram to see our best deals throughout the day. Then just grab whatever’s super cheap!
5. Know when to look.
We’ll have deals for both domestic and international flights on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If you’re not sure what you’re looking for and just want to score a great deal, Cyber Monday’s your best bet. We’ll have extra deals on flights with United Airlines on Black Friday and on American Airlines flights on Cyber Monday. If you’re flying somewhere that’s well serviced by American (or one of their partners, like British Airways or Iberia), Cyber Monday is going to be a good day for you.
6. Book earlier in the day for the best fares.
Fares tend to be lowest in the morning and then may go up throughout the day as the lowest fares sell out. As a result, the earlier, the better! Our deals usually launch around 8am EST, so set your alarms. Better yet, get on our early access list and we’ll notify you even earlier.
7. Follow us on social media.
We’ll have real-time updates throughout both Black Friday and Cyber Monday on Instagram and Twitter. These are your best channels to stay updated on things like promo codes, deal alerts, super-low fares and last-chance offers.
