StudentUniverse is now a member of the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA).

The USTOA promotes integrity within the tour operator industry and is recognized as a leading organization of its kind. USTOA members are tour operators that conduct business in the United States and have been in business for at least three years. Members in this community are responsible for a combined $15 billion in travel packages sold, 8.6 million travelers annually and $10 billion goods and services purchased.

As a USTOA member, we are now participating in the $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program. Each active USTOA member is required to participate in this program by posting $1 million security in the form of a bond or letter of credit or U.S. treasury bill. The security, to be held by the United States Tour Operators Association Inc. Tour Depositors Trust, is solely for use in reimbursing consumers for tour payments or deposits in the event of business bankruptcy, insolvency or cessation.
