Life at StudentUniverse

Every day we get resumes from smart people that want to work at StudentUniverse. That’s awesome, but what is it like to be part of this team? We asked a few people from a few different departments that question and here’s what they had to say:

Meghan

” This place is like a second home. We are all family, and the most welcoming people to new employees. I remember when I started here, everyone was so nice and instantly started including me into the office humor/jokes, work ideas…etc. When you work at Studentuniverse, you are a lifer. Everyone has been here for years. I am still one of the “new people” and I have been here for 5 years. That’s one of the best signs of a great place to work. J Plus, we all like to have fun! True to the motto of work hard, play harder! It keeps the daily routine fun. Currently, our department is doing “themed Fridays””

Evan

“Everyone acts on an even playing field, so you can feel comfortable bringing up and discussing ideas, challenging practices, and working on projects with everyone from an intern to the CEO, no matter what your role.”

Evan, Business Development

Chad

“Everyone cares about the company and does their best to ensure the company is moving forward.  There is a constant flow of ideas and conversation about becoming a better company, making our work environment better and succeeding together.  I think a big piece of this is that company goals generally align with departmental goals creating a good synergy and promoting teamwork.  Plus there’s bacon parties.”

– Chad, Operations

Francis

“Aside from the opportunity to work on challenging projects, folks here have a good sense of humor and enjoy engaging in oddball activities together when the workday is done, from mustache-growing competitions to ‘bacon day’ to playing music. Working at StudentUniverse can be a rewarding experience on many levels, but what makes it enjoyable is the human element.”

– Francis, Software Engineering
