Book cheap student flights to San Jose

Pros of visiting San Jose: it has lots of unique museums, it is in the heart of Silicon Valley (yet still has some of the most magnificent views of nature you can find anywhere), the city’s historic district is charming and there is a diverse selection of entertainment and food. On top of all of that StudentUniverse has the cheap flight deals to get you there. Cons of visiting San Jose: unfortunately, there is only one tourable haunted mansion designed to confuse ghosts.

San Jose is a special city central to San Francisco Bay Area’s Silicon Valley, meaning it is home to technological innovation and hot start-up companies, yet is surrounded by such an abundance of natural beauty and wildlife it is hard to believe it’s an urban city. Tips on flying to San Jose

San Jose Airports: Flying into San Jose is as convenient as can be when landing at the San Jose International Airport. It is a focus city for Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines, but is also host to airlines such as JetBlue Airways, Hainan Airlines, British Airways and more. If San Jose International Airport is unable to meet your needs, the notoriously punctual Oakland International Airport and the very large and busy San Francisco International Airport are within 30 miles from San Jose.

San Jose Transportation: Getting around in San Jose is easy with the expansive Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). There’s a diverse selection of VTA bus and light rail routes that will certainly get you to whatever sites and attractions you’d like to explore on your San Jose travel. There is also the FREE DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle). San Jose also has a heavy pedicab availability. Is there anything better than a bike ride without having to be the one to exercise? And if all else fails, there is always your favorite ride share service.

Things to do in San Jose: The unique Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum is the only museum in the world with buildings constructed following ancient Egyptian architectural designs. If you’d prefer a more modern museum, check out the Tech Innovation Museum. And don't forget that museums almost always mean student discounts! Beautiful gardens like the Municipal Rose Garden and Japanese Friendship Garden are relaxing, charming and free stops. San Jose is a favorite spot for hikers with many preserves and state parks in the area. Take a tour through the apparently haunted and definitely distinctive Winchester Mystery House and see the stairways that lead to nowhere, trap doors and other illusions—designed to either encourage or confuse ghosts.

Food & Music in San Jose: Being one of the most diverse (if not the most diverse) cities in the US, San Jose has a wide range of food and music to enjoy. There are spots for Caribbean, Japanese, Hawaiian, Italian, Latin, Greek, barbeque/soul food—you name it, San Jose's got it! If there’s any type of food you have wanted to try, San Jose would be a great place to experiment. The same can be said about their live music scene. Many of these diverse restaurants have live music, especially on weekends, that are culturally specific to the food they serve. There are also more traditional concert venues such as the SAP Center.
