It’s that time of the year again as Memorial Day Weekend is just around the corner! And the best way to celebrate the extended weekend is by traveling with the family. And while you might not be willing to travel across country for a mini vacation, there are plenty of spots across the country worth visiting.

If you’re on the west coast, the Yellowstone National Park is a must see. It covers ground in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. It will be warm and even hot through most of the region so dress appropriately and bring some sneakers for all the walking. The trip will be fun for the whole family and will provide some healthy exercise, especially if you enjoy the outdoors.

Of course New York City offers everything you could ever want from the long weekend. If you’ve never been to the city there’s no better opportunity than Memorial Day weekend. From legendary sites such as the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building to the thrill of walking through Central Park, there might not be a better place to honor fallen soldiers who fought for our freedom.

No matter where you find yourself around the country, traveling for Memorial Day weekend is a great experience for a family to come together at the start of the summer. There are opportunities for tourists to enjoy the sites and sounds as well as the various natural surroundings across the country. But no matter how you spend your Memorial Day, just remember why we are given this opportunity to appreciate this great country.
