Madeira, Portugal

Haven’t heard of Madeira? You will this year. Madeira, a small island off the coast of Portugal, is becoming a hot destination for adventure travelers and food lovers alike. Swim in saltwater lava pools, choose from thousands of miles of hiking trails, and enjoy sunny and tropical weather year-round. Go for: 

  • The scenic drives and hiking
  • Tasting Madeira wine, local exotic fruits, and amazing food. 
  • Riding the Monte sledges

Cappadocia, Turkey

Cappadocia offers way more than just the hot air balloons—although they might be the best way to see the stunning scenery. See the Goreme National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with amazing rock formations and ancient art and civilizations. Go for:

Anchorage, Alaska

Are you surprised this travel destination made the list? We aren’t one bit. Alaska has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world (who knew?) and is home to Denali National Park and the highest mountain peak in North America. You won’t be at a loss for things to do while you’re here either. Chase the Northern Lights, admire the abundant wildlife (whales, bears, caribou and moose) and get a birds eye view of glaciers from a helicopter. What else?

Belize

You might immediately think of Belize as a beach destination, but there’s so much more!
