Traveling should be more than just a trip—it should be an adventure. To go abroad and to explore a new country is something you’ll take with you for the rest of your life.
Volunteer trips give students a chance to leave a lasting impact and connect with a community of people in a new place.
Me to We is a social enterprise that provides life-changing experiences to allow students to make a difference while also exploring the world. The organization offers youth trips in destinations around the world including the Amazon, India, Rural China, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Kenya/Tanzania, Ghana, and the Dominican Republic. Me to We trips allow students to experience local culture in a way they could not do by simply visiting popular tourist attractions.
Students work on sustainable development projects such as a clean water project, health centre, or building the infrastructure to educate children.
StudentUniverse has partnered with Me to We to host a contest to send three students on a trip to help #FuelEducation in Udaipur, India. Now through April 8th, students can enter by submitting an essay, or a 30-second video detailing why they think it’s important to travel and volunteer abroad.
Three lucky winners will receive a free trip to go on a service mission to help build a school and immerse themselves in the local Indian culture. With this project, Me to We aims to improve Udaipur’s literacy rate, which is 11% lower than India’s national average. Winners will also get to participate in Bollywood dancing, morning yoga sessions and even pick up some of the Hindi language along the way.
