A few weeks ago, a peaceful demonstration in Ankara, Turkey was devastated by a suicide bombing that killed at least 100 people and injured hundreds more. In the weeks following the bombing, political tensions were high as the entire country mourned and sought to blame someone or something for the tragedy. Jet lag, time-zone tiredness, circadian rhythm disorder, cross-over confusion, or whatever you want to call it—it is nature’s own way of saying that some of our technologies have gone too far. Mankind regulates according to an “internal body clock” that tells us when we should be sleeping or waking up.
