Shopping in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is your primo destination for everything from cool souvenirs to vintage clothing. Love shoes? Hop over to Shoebaloo. Gamekeeper has hundreds of awesome games far beyond checkers and chess. For everything, check out the huge market Noordermarkt. It sells antiques, nice cloth, and fun stuff on Mondays, and on Saturdays is the go-to place for miles of fresh food. If you’re staying in Amsterdam for any length of time you’ll want to join the locals and ride a bike. For bikes one very zany store is Fietsfabriek. Unlimited Delicious is the hotspot for fantastic varieties of chocolates. Amsterdam’s Fair Trade Shop sells beautiful, unique handcrafts made by artisans around the world. You don’t have to wake up early on Monday and Sunday mornings if you want to go shopping because although most stores in Amsterdam are open 6 days a week, many of them open late on Mondays and Sundays. Amsterdam is also known as the city of antiques and books.
