Shopping in Italy
Milan is a shopping mecca, though not necessarily for those on student budgets, though it’s fun to look. The most expensive and highly fashionable stuff can be found here, just what you would expect from the birthplace of Prada, Armani and Missoni, and the home of Donatella Versace. Milan is also home to what’s reputed as the world’s oldest shopping mall, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Venice makes some of Italy’s most interesting gifts. In Sicily, shoes, ceramics, and designer goods are some of the more popular items to purchase in Catania.
