Shopping in Germany
In Berlin students like hip Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg, and Friedrichshain for affordable but still very fashionable shopping. With a lot of young designers opening shops it’s definitely cool. In Munich go meandering in cool outdoor markets like Viktualienmarkt and Elisabethmarkt. Feel free to bargain down prices at either one. Munich is otherwise a pretty rich city and you’ll have to do a little hunting to find deals. The city’s main shopping street, Maximilianstrasse, is in the center of the city. Indulge yourself a little in some trinket. Or just go window shopping and pretend you’re one of the elite. In Nuremberg, German sausages and gingerbread make for great souvenirs and can be found all around the city.
