Travel Tips for Frankfurt
English speakers call the city simply Frankfurt, but locals occasionally call it by its full name, Frankfurt am Main, to avoid confusion with the other Frankfurt in the German state of Brandenburg.
During rush hour the streets of the city center are heavily congested.
English is frequently spoken because Frankfurt is an international city, but learning a few German words helps a lot: “Danke” means thanks and “Bitte” means please.
