Cheap flights to Hong Kong

What did you do in Hong Kong?

I originally came to Hong Kong for my summer internship and planned to spend two evenings to take a rugby course in Happy Valley (very cheap, only HKD 300). Unfortunately, due to the H1N1, my internship was delayed and eventually canceled. Despite this, I had a very good time using that time to explore Hong Kong and enjoyed my rugby rushing. I traversed the financial districts of Hong Kong, the Central. As later, I got another job. There was not much traveling thereafter. Summer in Hong Kong is excellent: lots of American college students went to Hong Kong. It was very easy to encounter people from the same schools. But the weather may be a bit hot for those who live in a temperate zone.

What’s a must see in Hong Kong?

I think students should group up to visit the Ocean Park Hong Kong. It was the biggest competitor of the Hong Kong Disneyland. Ocean Park is larger and cheaper. Moreover, it is more local. It is a more Hong Kong theme park. And I also recommend that students visit the Zetland Hall at 1 Kennedy Road. Many famous people in Hong Kong patronize there.

Most unusual thing you saw or did?

I think a very unusual thing I saw in Hong Kong is that it is very common to run into a movie screening scene. Although Hong Kong is not big, its movie industry is huge. All kinds of movies are in progress. Therefore, I happened to see some actors and actresses shooting scenes twice.

What sucked?

The hotels in Hong Kong are quite expensive. Cheap hotels do exist but their rooms are inhumanely small. So I think it sucks that I had to use up a large amount of money for a room in Hong Kong.

Favorite thing in Hong Kong?

I had mentioned I took a rugby course in Hong Kong, which was really the greatest thing I did in Hong Kong. All my classmates are Hong Kong locals. The rugby course provided me with an excellent chance to make friends and understand their thoughts and customs. On the other hand, people in Hong Kong are not as strong as those in U.S. Thus, it is easier for me to play rugby there.

Craziest thing that you saw or did?

I think the roads in Hong Kong were shocking me. They are not very wide, about three lanes in average for a main road. But there are so many double-decker buses roaring on the road.

What was the culture of the city like?

I have a strong impression that Hong Kong has a very efficient and investment atmosphere. First, cashiers are very, very fast there. Transactions are very fast to complete. Visa and MasterCard are very accessible. In addition, the Octopus, a card that you can pay all the transportation fees and pay at grocery stores, makes transactions fast. In terms of the atmosphere, Hong Kong is no doubt the financial center of Asia. I heard that even housewives in Hong Kong watch finance news and trade Hong Kong stocks, options, and warrants.

Best places to party?

One place that people may ignore is Knutsford Terrace. There are many fancy restaurants. The place is intrinsically romantic. If you prefer a more popular option, take Lan Kwai Fong.
