Got a few days to get away? StudentUniverse has put together a list of some great weekend getaways in the US. Here’s the list and now it’s up to you to find a plane ticket and just go there. Perhaps a cheap student ticket from StudentUniverse would do the trick? Boston is a town packed with students and history, you’ll have fun going out and just strolling around the city. Miami is non-stop fun and truly an exciting weekend getaway. San Diego has perfect weather. Washington may be a road trip away for a lot of East Coast students, but it’s definitely worth a flight as well. Austin is awesome, you’ll appreciate the arts and vibrant atmosphere. Las Vegas doesn’t really need an explanation. New Orleans is still a winner and you’ll have a ton of fun. And New York, well what can we say? If you can afford a weekend in the Big Apple, you’ll have access to the best shopping and nightlife around.
If you haven’t been to San Fran, you should definitely go, it’s a pretty long haul from the East Coast, but a super popular getaway for students on the West Coast. Our favorite US weekend getaway is Chicago, unless you go there in the middle of the coldest time of year, that is. Chicago is kind of like a smaller New York, and that’s not a bad thing. You get cheaper hotel rooms, food and drinks, but you still get the skyscrapers, fantastic shopping and friendlier people.
