Things to do in Verona
Verona has some of the best architecture in the world. There are a lot of great guided tours around the city. Another great place to see is the Arena, an enormous Roman amphitheater that is still functioning. Also, the Castel Vecchio, a 14th century fortified castle on the banks of the river Aldige. There is a huge city art museum there packed full of sculptures and Renaissance paintings. Verona’s tallest tower, Lamberti Tower, is a great thing to visit and has a lift to the top where you can see some great views! Italy is also known for it’s fantastic churches and cathedrals. Head over to the Verona Cathedral, built in 1187. It is really a sight to see!
Nightlife in Verona
Verona has some great cafes and clubs. For a great experience check out the Piazza delle Erbe. This genuine Piazza has a good number of bars where you can sit and enjoy a beverage. Also make sure to hit up Rain, in Via Stella 13A. Verona’s newest wine bar and jazz club, Rain is known to have a great atmosphere and the owners are both fluent in English. There are also great locals bars as you go along in the city. Go ahead and drink- the drinking age in Italy is 16.
Colleges and Classes in Verona
Verona’s main place of learning, the University of Verona, has a large and beautiful campus with many different majors. There is also the Culinary Institute of Verona which has many great classes where you can learn Italy’s best kept secrets of cooking.
Travel From Verona
There are incredible sights to see in Verona’s surrounding areas. There are great vineyards in the north hills which usually have wine tasting weekends and tours.

- Italian is the official language, some knowledge of it goes a long way!
