Things to do in Tokyo
Tokyo has some really great historic and traditional Japanese festivities. Some of the best sushi in Japan is located in Tokyo’s Tsukiji Fish Market. They serve sushi all day, even for breakfast! Another great attraction is the boat rides on the Sumida River. The view is spectacular. Tokyo has also recently become home to Tokyo Disneyland and Resort as well as Tokyo DisneySea, all of which are definitely worth the trip. For a more laid-back entertainment experience, try he Yurikamome elevated train that crosses the bay bridge from Shimbashi station to Odaiba district. You can go on the giant ferris wheel there, the largest in the world until recently. Tokyo also has some great baseball teams, the Yomiuri Giants and Tokyo Yakult Swallows, that play at the Tokyo Dome and Jingu Stadium respectively. Lastly, Tokyo is home to the Imperial Palace’s East Gardens, a place noted for it’s beauty. You can walk through the gardens at 9am every day except Mondays and Fridays.
Nightlife in Tokyo
Tokyo has a booming nightlife with parties that go on forever. If you’re new to Tokyo then hit up Roppongi, which caters to foreigners. Be careful of gaijin bars which are known to get a little rowdy. It’s very quiet during the week but comes to life on the weekends. If you’re looking for a more Japanese experience visit Shibuya for great clubs and dance spots.

The Major places to study in Tokyo are Keio University, Japan’s top private university, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo’s top technical university, University of Tokyo, a strong school in law, medicine, and literature, and Waseda University, which competes with Keio and is known for it’s artists.
Travel From Tokyo
From Tokyo you can go to the Kanto region, and from there you can reach a lot of notable spots. Hakone has great hot springs and views of Mount Fuji. Kamakura has a lot of great temples and statues. Edo Wonderland, located in Kinugawa, is home to a fantastic theme park recreating Japan in the 1800’s.
