Things to do in Granada
Granada has a lot of sight-seeing and mountain-type activities just outside the city. For a 50-minute drive you can hit up the Sierra Nevada mountain range where you can find Europe’s most southern ski resort as well as hiking trails and great sight-seeing opportunities. The Sierra Nevada is known to have some of the most spectacular views. To get a great cultural experience try a Hammam, or an arab bath. Granada has many spas which reconstruct the ambiance and decorations of ancient Muslim baths. It really takes you back to the old days and lets you really experience middle eastern culture! Nightlife in Granada
Granada has some great central bars such as Bodegas Castaneda on the corner of Elvira and Almireceros. Another cool place, Bar Sabanilla, claims to be the oldest bar in Granada and serves a free tapa with every drink. It’s located up an alley off the southeast corner of Plaza Bib Rambla. Spain is also known for its flamenco shows with none better then the Los Jardines Neptuno near the Parque Garcia Lorca in the south of the city. It has a great atmosphere and is better in the winter then the summer.

Granada features many different colleges all of which accept people from all over the world in study abroad programs. The Spanish Language school, located just ten minutes away from the city center, has a beautiful campus and a terrific Spanish studies program.
Travel From Granada
Granada has many different excursion opportunities located within walking distance from the city centre. The Alhambra and Albayzin (Arabic quarter) makes a great place to go and get some great culture- be sure to check it out! You can also catch a bus from the city for the cost of 1 Euro per trip.
