The nightlife in Berlin is just as noteworthy as any other large city. It isn’t necessarily as crazy as Madrid or Amsterdam, however Berlin has its own charm. Pariser Straße and Ludwigkirchplatz are cool areas of the city. Here you will find taverns, bars, American style restaurants, and Mexican cantinas, as well as stylish, modernized “discos”. The Winterfeldtplatz is another great area to hit up with your friends. Many college students frequent this area of the city because there is an overabundance of bars. And Germany is definitely known for its great selection of beer. If you study abroad here in the fall, make sure to go out for Oktoberfest; it is one of the hottest college-style events of the year here.
