The major landmarks that you have to see while here include Iskcon Temple, Vikasa Soudha, the Bangalore Palace, and Tipu Sultan’s Palace. There are a lot of temples that tell of the cultural heritage of this place. One of the most beautiful temple statues, Lord Shiva Temple, is quite a site. Throughout the city, over a dozen temples, some ancient, some ornate and famous, are scattered. It’s almost like a scavenger hunt to see how many you can find and get to. Parks like the gorgeous Lal Bagh glass house make for fun weekend day activities. One of the favorite activities of students studying here is to go to the various festivals and cultural events. This is all what makes India such a fun and ethnic place to be.

The pub scene in the city is the major nightlife. Olive Beach is is a fairly new and exotic restaurant that is known for its’ super nightlife. Liquor Cafe is located on a covered rooftop. Drinks pour freely and the crowd is young and hip. Other cool bars that college students like to head to on weekends include Noir, Spinn, Jockey Club, and Hypnos. i-BAR is fun for a more upscale night out. Pregame with a cool unique drink or spend the night lounging with friends. Bangalore is definitely one of the best cities in India to go out and party. Even if you are just headed to a low key bar, you are sure to have a great time.

Science, IT, and religion like Buddhism are the major focuses in Bangalore. The Indian Institute of Science is the largest scientific institute in India. It is also world renowned for its programs. Travel From Bangalore
Bangalore is situated in southern India. Traveling around India is not as easy as in Europe or Asia. Although there are many options for getting from place to place. Chennai, also in southern India, is known for the incredible temples and closeness to the beaches. Mysore also makes a good trip for a long weekend. Tour the Royal Palace and gardens. For a longer vacation, like spring break, head up to the north to see New Dehli or over to the west for Mumbai, formerly Bombay.
