Spring Break in Panama City Beach
Hundreds of thousands of thirsty spring breakers travel to Panama City Beach every year for spring break. With miles of gorgeous beaches, non-stop parties, and warm, tropical weather, it is no wonder that this city has been attracting college students looking for a break for many years. MTV has recently started setting up camp during spring break here with lots of fun and crazy activities. You will always be able to find a great club or lounge and plenty of tropical drinks!

Day Activities
Soft white sandy beaches and glimmering emerald green waters create the perfect setting for a relaxing day of tanning on the beach and catching some z’s. There are plenty of activities in Panama City Beach that will keep you entertained for hours. Gulf World Marine Park lets visitors get right up close to marine animals. Shipwreck Island Water Park is a nice alternative to the salty sea water at the beaches. There are also a lot of places you can rent wave runners, paddle boats, sail boats, and loads of other fun water sports gear. Head over to Pineapple Willy’s, The Original Pier Bar, to catch a bite to eat and a tropical drink during cocktail hour.
Nightlife
When the sun goes down, the party really starts here. With MTV located here now for spring break, there are even more reasons to get all dressed up and head to a crowded club. You will have your choice of nightclubs too since there are so many options bordering the streets. Club La Vela, the United States’ Largest Night Club resides here. Multiple floors and bars make up this extraordinary complex of alcohol and hip-hop fun. Sandpiper Beacon Tiki Bar hosts the world’s largest nightly keg party on the weekends. It also happens every night during spring break!
Travel Tips
Take note that Panama City Beach is a separate city then Panama City–they are actually adjacent to each other. The Bay Town Trolley has routes throughout the Bay County. Though the service to the beaches is limited to two trolleys, there are still frequent daily stops. The drinking age here is 21, as is with the rest of the United States. Although it is a boozing city during spring break, most bars are pretty strict when it comes to carding, so have your I.D. on you at all times. The currency in Panama City Beach is the U.S. dollar.
