With nearly perfect weather all year round there isn’t really a bad time to visit Phoenix. This makes planning your trip activities easy. Golf is one of the most popular activities. The Grand Golf Course is one of the rare exquisite dessert golfing courses. The Grand Athletic Club has golfing lessons. You can also enjoy the spa, fitness center, and lap pool. Heard Museum is a gorgeous building that houses Native American Art and well preserved cultural items. The Phoenix Art Museum has over 16,000 pieces of art that spans European, Asian, and Native American works. A fun day trip can be to Piestewa Peak. In the center of the Phoenix Mountain Peaks, a two hour hike will take you to the peak. From there look out on a 360 degree view of the city. For the sports fans take in a Cardinals or Diamondbacks game if you come during the right season.
Nightlife in Phoenix
There are a couple really great wine bars in Phoenix. Silver and Bomberos are both excellent choices. Silver has a warm inviting atmosphere, while Bomberos has a Latin feel. Enjoy a nice glass of vino as you munch on appertivo. Myst and Axis are the top night clubs. If you feel like dancing these venues stay open well into the wee hours of the morning. Offering up great music selections with drinks that never run empty. Just remember the dress code and cover charge. Also make sure to bring proper ID with you. You can’t go wrong with a large plate of great food and an equally as impressive margarita in your hand. For a change of scenery make a night of your dining experience and go to Broadway Palm dinner theater. Sit back and enjoy a full length Broadway show as you dine with friends. Steakhouses are another popular spot. They all have amazing and sizzling steaks, seafood, and drinks. So you really can’t go wrong.
Shopping in Phoenix
Scorpion bolo ties and cactus-style salt and pepper shakers are the quintessential items one thinks of with Phoenix. Hot sauces are another item tourists like to bring home with them. In Arizona there are a lot of Mexican gifts and in Phoenix there are many souvenir shops. Scottsdale shopping centers are the places to find all the everyday type goods. Biltmore Fashion Park, Dessert Ridge Marketplace, and Paradise Valley are good malls to go to. All are easily within driving distance from the city. Kierland Commons is where you will want to make a trip to if you are looking for some more upscale style shops.
