There are many wonderful places to go while in Orlando. An essential experience is Disney World, which is divided into four separate parks. Magic Kingdom is considered the most quaint essentially “Disney” park with it’s enchanting Cinderella’s castle as the centerpiece”. The other three parks include Epcot, the dazzling futuristic tomorrowland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a lights, motor, action extravaganza, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, stunning animals both live and imaginary. Universal Studios is an amazing park that makes you feel like you’ve jumped into a movie. With exhilarating rides and fascinating shows this is the perfect park for any age. Sea World is a beautiful marine adventure park. The array of marine animals and exhilarating rides will thrill you. Typhoon Lagoon is considered by many to be the most exciting water park in Florida. “Miss Tilly” the the steamboat centerpiece to the park sits on top of a mountain and spurts out a fifty foot spurt of water every half hour. If you have some spare time, Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba is a spectacularly enchanting theatrical ride for the senses.
Nightlife in Orlando
For springbreakers looking for some fun, Orlando is the place to be. For those of age, Disney’s Pleasure Island gives everyone a little something special. There are several nightclubs on the premises with a variety of music and atmospheres. Guests pay one fee to enter and are allowed to stop in at each of the clubs and restaurants. Universal’s City Walk has live entertainment every night by up and coming local performers. Rising Star Club is located with City Walk and allows guests to get up on stage and sing with the band while the crowd cheers on, enjoying signature cocktails.
Dining in Orlando
Whatever flavor you are craving, Orlando has it. In the Epcot Pavilion dozens of themed restaurants line the way. Students visiting can enjoy Oktoberfest all year at the Biergarten Restaurant. There is also a French Bistro, Mexican Cantina, Chinese Cafe, Moroccon Restaurant, and an under the sea adventure restaurant. The Garden Grill Restaurant connects real Disney characters with diners. A few other great suggestions are Amura’s, Izziban Sushi, Roy’s Restaurant, and Bongo’s; all great choices for students on a budget.
Shopping in Orlando
Besides the fantastic themed shops at parks in this city, there are several other great spots. The Florida Mall is located right in Orlando and is the largest mall in the state.
