The first stop should be the Carew Tower and Observation Deck. As the influence for the later Empire State Building, you will find a breathtaking view of the city awaiting you in the Observation Deck. The Cincinnati art Museum is on par with The Art Institute of Chicago and The museum of Modern Art in New York. There are always special exhibitions as well as a great collection of art by local artists.There are also several amusement parks including Kinds Island, Coney Island, and Cedar Point for family fun. For a more relaxing getaway, there are over 100 parks in this city that provide scenic and floral views along with hiking areas.
Nightlife in Cincinnati
Cincinnati boasts several great sports teams including the Bengals and the Reds.The Bengals have in recent years proved they are competitors in the NFL. If your tastes are more musical, there are several different music festivals in Cincinnati. The MidPoint Music Festival is the biggest and best independent music festival with over 300 up and coming bands. Forbes magazine has ranked Cincinnati night life as the first in the nation for singles. There are a large array of bars, clubs, and concert venues. The Main Street Entertainment District is a very popular area for clubs and bars. Among these include The Comet, Havana Martini Club, and the Alchemize.

A trip to Cincinnati cannot be complete without its famous chili. Their own take on chili is served over spaghetti and sold. It is also sold in more restaurants per capita than any other city in the US. Another local favorite is Graeters Ice Cream. A local staple, Graeters makes their own ice cream with several locations throughout the state. For finer dining there is also Boi Na Braza, a Brazilian steak house and The Precinct, a former police precinct.
Shopping in Cincinnati
This city has 52 neighborhoods, all having their own shopping district. Clifton Gaslight District is more noteworthy with its offerings of bohemian and international shops. Oakley Square on the other hand contains upscale boutiques. However for a truly unique experience, visit Jungle Jim’s International Market. This grocery mecca contains extensive food items from every corner of the world and is considered more of a theme park then grocery store.
