Things to do in Bangalore
There are half day and full day bus tours of the city, which are a good idea for people who do not like to be on foot all day. The sights here include several temples, parks, and some great landmarks. The best sight in this city is the extravagant Bull Temple. There is a huge statue of a bull and an ancient legend that goes along with it. Don’t forget to go to the Zoo and try to avoid it on Sundays as it becomes very crowded then.
Nightlife in Bangalore
There are many nightclubs and bars in Bangalore. Many of the bars have hookahs at the tables that are used for smoking tobacco. The Blue Bar is one of the popular and upscale places to go with great music and fine wine. If you want to enjoy some dancing, head on over to Zero G for some fun. Also, a pub called Pecos plays a lot of retro music to get you moving to the tunes.
Dining in Bangalore
Indian food has very specific spices in it and most foods have the similar flavors. Curry and cumin are common ingredients and are used in rice and meat dishes. A typical breakfast is a boiled rice dish served with fruit. Check out Temptations restaurant for some classical Indian food. Stop by Empire for the best chicken kabobs in town or Tiger Bay for some quality seafood.
Shopping in Bangalore
Bangalore has everything imaginable for shopping including all the latest electronics and western fashion trends. There are also shops where you can find such things as silk sarees, scarves, and bangles. If you want to hit up the name brand stores, stop by the Forum Mall for lots of fashion.

- Don’t walk alone in alley streets at night.
- There are several internet centers in the city that allow you to pay by the hour.
- Be careful of the auto drivers (taxi) around Bangalore because they constantly try and make you pay more than you are suppose to.
