Can I fly back to the US?

You can book and purchase a ticket for a one-way flight from Europe, Central-South America, Asia or the South Pacific to the US if you have already purchased a student ticket from the US. Here are some tips and other important information:

  • Your ticket back to the US will be on an electronic ticket (e-ticket). You will not be issued a paper ticket for this flight.
  • If you hold a US passport, or if you're not a US citizen and hold a proper visa or greencard, please make sure you obtain the proper documentation before you travel, and are carrying it when you travel. If you do not have the proper documentation to enter the US on a one-way ticket, the airline will deny you boarding and you will lose the full value of your ticket. Further information can be obtained by contacting the airline directly, the US embassy, or online at www.state.gov.
  • Before we can process a one-way ticket to the US, our airline contracts require that we provide the ticket number for the flight FROM the US. Note that the ticket from the US must not be older than one year. If your ticket from the US was purchased through StudentUniverse, we will have the ticket number on file. If not, we will email you requesting this information.
  • It is the TRAVELER'S RESPONSIBILITY to carry the proper, current travel documents for all flights.
