Quality Assurance Engineer
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our small, but growing, team. The right candidate will be passionate and excited to work on a team that creates software that enables hundreds of thousands of students to travel the world. As an important part of the amazing QA team at StudentUniverse, you'll have a pivotal role in ensuring confidence in our code base managing automated testing using Selenium Webdriver along with performing other QA tasks on projects.
Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and execute thorough automated and manual software test cases and test plans
- Develop and maintain suite of automated tests which exercise all layers of an enterprise system stack with frameworks including Selenium, Selenium Webdriver, and JMeter
- Develop comprehensive data validation queries using SQL
- Researching new and emerging trends in testing technologies and practices
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields
- Experience as a QA Automation Engineer or Software Engineer with coding skills in Groovy/Java or other modern programming language like Object Oriented Programming required
- Experience working with robust automated tests with a high level of maintainability including test automation and automation frameworks using Selenium Webdriver
- Understanding of design and coding with a strong emphasis on building test automation
- Experience with tools and applications such as GIT for source code control and Jenkins for continuous integration
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Minimum 2+ years QA automation or software development experience
